Get our sprouts into supermarkets...
When The Wright Sprouts won a business makeover competition in 2009, they won the expertise of over 11 businesses (Xplore among them), all from very different areas of expertise.
The Wright Sprouts main focus was expanding their business and increasing their brand exposure, with the hope of breaking into one or more of the elusive supermarket chains.
The Wright Sprout's team knew that a new website was a central tool in achieving their goals - they needed a website that:
- Built credibility,
- Established brand recognition,
- Profiled their product range,
- Inspired retail sales,
- Made it easy for retailers to request stock.
A website that lets the products sell themselves...
Xplore knew that the organic bean and leafy sprouts that that The Wright Sprouts produce needed to be the focus of their new website, so they ensured that the website design was kept clean and simple to provide the products with the opportunity to sell themselves.
The team also worked closely with The Wright Sprouts to formulate an easy-to-navigate site structure that provided consumers and (most importantly) retailers with the information they required about The Wright Sprouts range.
The result was an attractive, clean and easy to update website that built credibility for The Wright Sprouts brand and was geared to help them achieve their goal of breaking into the major supermarket chains.
The geek stuff...
The Wright Sprouts website features the following Xplore Xtools modules:
- Xsite - content management system
- Xmail – permission based email marketing system
The above modules give The Wright Sprouts the ability to easily update their website, whenever they like (using a WORD-like interface) and provide email marketing facilities so that they can keep their customers up to date on product developments.
The Wright Sprouts now in supermarkets...
Just 3 months after The Wright Sprout's new website launch, they received an email enquiry (through their website) from one of New Zealand's major supermarket chains, who wanted to start discussions to stock their products.
Soon afterwards, The Wright Sprouts range of organic bean and leafy sprouts began appearing in the fruit and veges section of some supermarkets – goal achieved!
